Musicians Reunite for 5th Annual Y'all Come Rehearsal

It was a reunion on Wednesday, July 20th as musicians came together to play in the 5th annual Y’all Come Rehearsal. The event took place in the Kenmore East Band Room.

The Y’all Come Rehearsal is an open invitation to anyone who wants to dust off their instruments and play. The event has become a yearly tradition that brings together generations of musicians who are able to reconnect with old friends, make new ones, and share their love of music.

According to Kenmore East band instructor Phil Aguglia, who also is the event’s creator, this year’s Y’all Come was the biggest one yet. Of those musicians that attended, 44% were new to the group. The average graduating class of this year’s attendees was 2011, with the oldest attendee a member of the Class of 1957.

“It was fantastic to get together,” said Aguglia following the event. “They played great. No matter the age, many of our attendees haven’t changed a bit since high school.”

The Y’all Come group has one more event to look forward to this summer as they’ve been invited to play in the Town of Tonawanda 75th Anniversary Celebration. The band will play at 12:15 p.m. on August 6th on the front lawn of the Town’s Aquatic and Fitness Center.
