The Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda School District welcomes the community to use the tracks at Crosby Field and Adams Field. The tracks will be open for community use during the day except when in use by a Ken-Ton School District athletic program, physical education class, or other school/district program. Please note that, for the safety of our visitors, the track will be closed if snow and/or ice has accumulated on the track surface. In order to preserve the athletic facility for future use, we ask that our visitors only use the tracks for walking and running with appropriate footwear. No bicycles, strollers, or vehicles of any kind are permitted.
How can I find out if the athletic facilities have been closed due to inclement weather?
For the safety of our visitors, the athletic facilities will be closed when inclement weather makes use of the track hazardous for guests. Most commonly, this would pertain to any time snow or ice has accumulated on the track surface. The decision to close the athletic facilities would be made by the Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda School District Buildings & Grounds Department which can be contacted at 874-8475.
The track may be closed due to other weather scenarios though this would be extremely rare and would likely be times in which people are unlikely to be utilizing the track (such as severe storms).
What limitations are in place for visitors using the track?
In order to preserve the athletic facility for future use, we ask that our visitors only use the tracks for walking and running with appropriate footwear. No bicycles, strollers or vehicles of any kind are permitted. The following rules are also in effect:
- No food or drink other than water
- No gum, seeds, or chewing tobacco
- No metal cleats
- Carry all benches and goals
- No smoking or alcoholic beverages
- No animals of any kind
- No hitting, kicking, or throwing against fences
- Dispose of all trash including athletic tape
- Do not use tape to hang signs or posters
