Gr. 4 Students

All students in Gr. 4 have the option of renting an instrument from the District, for a $40 rental fee.

Band instruments that can be rented from the district for Gr. 4 only include:

• Alto saxophone
• Baritone/Euphonium
• Clarinet
• Flute
• French horn
• Oboe
• Percussion kits
• Trombone
• Trumpet

Orchestra instruments that can be rented from the district for Gr. 4 only include:

• Cello
• String Bass
• Violin
• Viola

Students that play instruments that are too large for the bus (cello, baritone, french horn, string bass) may pay one rental fee to the District and will receive one instrument to use at home and one to use at school.

Gr. 5-12 Students

The only instruments for students in Gr. 5-12 that are guaranteed to be rented out from the school (for a $40 rental fee) are: baritone/euphonium, baritone saxophone, bass clarinet, bassoon, french horn, oboe, piccolo, string bass, tenor saxophone, and tuba. Students that play the trombone or cello may rent one from the district for use in school, and should obtain one for use at home. Students that play instruments that are too large for the bus (baritone/euphonium, baritone saxophone, string bass, tenor saxophone, and tuba) may pay one rental fee to the District and will receive one instrument to use at home and one to use at school.  

Rental Policy Information

The Ken-Ton School District musical instrument rental fee will be collected through the Community Education Department instead of the music teacher. 

This year's rental fee deadline: October 2nd, 2024

The waiver, listed below, only needs to be signed and mailed to Community Education if you are choosing the paper/mail-in registration option. If you register online using the Community Education online registration website, your waiver will be signed electronically! We highly recommend you register online so you receive an immediate receipt acknowledging payment and registration for the music program of your choice.
