Important 2020-21 Calendar Updates:

Refer here for important information regarding updated NYS guidance for updates that will impact days of instruction for some students: Planning for Updated Social Distancing Requirements

    • Please also note that Friday, May 28, 2021, will be an early release day for elementary school students only (Gr. K-4). Students will be dismissed at 12:40 p.m. on this day.
    • There will be no student/staff attendance on Friday, June 18, 2021 in observation of Juneteenth, which is now a public holiday in New York State.
    • Schools and teachers will communicate details regarding parent/teacher conferences.
    • With the addition of Juneteenth, our calendar now allows for up to three (3) Emergency Days, which are typically used as snow days if needed. If more than the allotted number of emergency days are used, we would normally have to make up these days of lost instructional time. A new state program is allowing school districts to conduct remote learning as an alternative. Therefore, in Ken-Ton, in the event that we need additional emergency days beyond the three that are allotted, we will take advantage of this program. We have not used any emergency days thus far so have three (3) emergency days remaining.

Please Note: This year, because of the circumstances of the pandemic and school reopening planning, families will not be provided with the annual District Calendar publication. Parents/guardians can rely upon the 2020-21 District Calendar Overview which includes information on planned holidays, recesses, Superintendent Conference Days, etc. Schools will provide information on events which are able to take place.
