The Ken-Ton School District is fortunate to have very active parent/teacher groups committed to building strong school/family partnerships, supporting parents at all grade levels, and enhancing the educational experiences of students.
The Ken-Ton PTSA Council holds monthly meetings at 7 p.m. at the Kenmore Middle School Building, 155 Delaware Road, in Room 225. Programs include civic and community concerns as they affect children and families, and are designed to apprise PTA units of possible programming for their school. Networking, guidance, and training are also a part of the monthly meetings. In addition, the Western Region PTA holds leadership training each year, and members are encouraged to attend New York State PTA events. PTSA meeting dates can be found in the District Calendar. Find them on Facebook: Ken-Ton PTSA Council
The Ken-Ton SEPTO (Special Education Parent/Teacher Organization) is a network of parents, teachers and students from every school in the Ken-Ton UFSD as well as students sent to out-of-district placement sites. Members have varying degrees of expertise and are available to offer support at any time in a parent's special education journey. SEPTO hosts monthly support meetings, guest speakers, information sessions, and classes. Child care is provided at every meeting. All meetings are held at US itek, located at 1016 Niagara Falls Blvd., Tonawanda, NY 14150 from 6:30 to 9 p.m. SEPTO meeting dates can be found in the District Calendar.
