Jerry Starr Ken-Ton Schools' SleepOut

34th Jerry Starr Ken-Ton Schools' SleepOut Kick-Off!

  • The 34th Annual Jerry Starr Ken-Ton Schools' Sleepout will take place Friday, Feb. 5 to continue the annual tradition and spirit alive during the pandemic, when the needs of our community are at their greatest. Because of the pandemic, the SleepOut will be scaled back this year involving a small number of participants and careful safety measures taken to ensure participant safety (students and staff will not be able to sleep out this year). Superintendent Sabatino Cimato will be sleeping out this year to represent the staff and honor their support for this event!

Because of the pandemic, only monetary donations will be accepted (unlike in previous years, no food, clothing, personal items or furniture). All donations will stay in the Ken-Ton community and go to two homegrown Ken-Ton organizations that serve the needs of families:

    • Ken-Ton Closet: Provides new and gently used clothing and everyday necessities for hundreds of Ken-Ton children and families, at its site in the former Jefferson Elementary building
    • Family Support Center: Provides individual and family counseling, connections to local mental health service providers, and transportation to appointments (also addresses food insecurity through its on-site food pantry) for hundreds of Ken-Ton School District families, at the former Longfellow School behind Kenmore Middle School

    How to Donate:

Cash or checks (made payable to “Ken-Ton Schools – E.T.C.”) can be dropped off in person the day of the SleepOut at 1500 Colvin Boulevard (click here for drop-off procedures), sent via U.S. Mail or Ken-Ton School District interoffice delivery to: Ken-Ton Schools’ SleepOut, c/o Kenmore West High School, 33 Highland Pkwy., Buffalo, NY 14223, or given directly to a KTA SleepOut building representative:
