Meeting Dates & Locations

  • Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda Union Free School District Board of Education Meetings are held once a month. Most meetings will be held at the Kenmore Junior/Senior High School Building, 155 Delaware Road, in the Community Room/Board Room on the first floor unless otherwise noted (enter through Door #5).

    The Board meets in a public session at 6:00 pm. Members of the community are encouraged to attend. Those wishing to take part in the public expression portion of the meeting (3 minutes per speaker) must sign up prior to the start of the meeting. Please refer to the Board of Education's Public Expression at Meetings policy for specific requirements regarding the public expression portion of Board meetings. You can access this policy here.

    Audit Committee:

    The Audit Committee is a committee of the Board of Education. It is comprised of Board of Education members and community representatives. The Audit Committee is responsible for providing recommendations regarding the appointment of the External (Independent) Auditor for the District; meeting with the External (Independent) Auditor prior to commencement of the audit; reviewing and discussing with the External (Independent) Auditor any risk assessment of the District's fiscal operations developed as part of the Auditor's responsibilities under governmental auditing standards for a financial statement audit and federal single audit standards if applicable; receiving and reviewing the draft annual audit report and accompanying draft management letter and, working directly with the External (Independent) Auditor, assist the Board in interpreting such documents; making a recommendation to the Board on accepting the annual audit report; and discussing and analyzing every corrective action plan developed by the District in response to any audit and assist the Board in its implementation.

    Members of the public will be able to attend Board of Education meetings in person. Guests will be asked to enter through Door #5 and report to the check-in table.
