District Leadership Council
-
The District Leadership Council (DLC) was created during the 2020-21 school year by the two Student Representatives on the Board of Education, Lauren Reinhart from Kenmore East High School and Kendall Brach from Kenmore West High School, working in collaboration with Board President Matthew Chimera and Superintendent of Schools Sabatino Cimato. The DLC convened for the first time on March 1, 2021.
The DLC is a collective student leadership group composed of seventh-grade and twelfth-grade student leaders from the five middle and high schools in the District. Kenmore Junior/Senior High School, Kenmore East, Kenmore West, Franklin Middle and Hoover Middle all have student representation on the council.
This group provides students the opportunity to share feedback among their peers, as well as with the Superintendent, Board of Education President, building Principals, and the Student Board Representatives. The goal of the DLC is to encourage student voice and leadership and find ways to make district-wide connections.
