• 2024-2025 Universal Pre-K (UPK)
    Registration Information

Welcome to the Kenmore Town of Tonawanda
    Union Free School District

We are very excited to welcome new families to the District!

Registration for 2024-2025 Universal Pre-K began on March 1, 2024
and will continue until all slots are filled.

Availability for the UPK program is based on grant funding.  This funding allows us to enroll a limited number of students during the 2024-2025 school year.  If more children apply than there are available slots, the district will hold a random selection process in the form of a lottery.
Ken-Ton will continue to accept applications until May 24, 2024. This is not a first come, first served process. If we receive more applications than our cap allows, the school district will conduct a virtual random lottery on Wednesday, June 5 at 4pm. All completed applications received by May 24, 2024 will be included in the lottery.

You must be a resident of the district by May 24, 2024 to be included in the lottery. Your child must be up to date with New York State vaccination requirements.

Both a Half-Day and Full-Day Universal Preschool Program (UPK) will be offered for the 2024-2025 school year

UPK is a special program funded by the New York State Education Department to provide an early learning experience for the children of eligible families. The traditional classroom-based UPK framework is designed to introduce academics and enhance socialization, physical activity, communication, creative thinking, and prepare your child for kindergarten.  Ken-Ton is expected to receive additional funding for children to attend this Full-Day educational program option, based on the number of students enrolled
