May 18, 2021 Budget Vote & Board of Education Election


  • Voting Results: 

    • Proposition 1, the proposed 2021-22 school year budget, was approved by voters (yes votes: 1,636; no votes: 478).
    • Proposition 2, the annual bus purchase, was approved by voters (yes votes: 1,595; no votes: 474).
    • There is one term on the Board of Education that will begin July 1, 2021 and end June 30, 2024. This seat will go to the candidate who received the highest number of votes. The candidate who received the highest number of votes was Todd Marquardt, who received 1,193 votes. Christine Cavarello received 856.

    In-person voting will resume this year with the ability to request absentee ballots for qualified reasons.

    Voter Requirements:

    • Voting will be back to in-person this year, with absentee ballots able to be requested for qualified reasons.
    • Voters must be a U.S. citizen, 18 years of age or older, and a resident of the district for 30 days prior to the vote.
    • Those who are not registered to vote will need to complete an affidavit confirming that they are a qualified voter.
    • Photo identification and proof of citizenship, age, and residency are required for those who are not registered.

    Absentee Ballot Information:

    • Contact the District Clerk at (716) 874-8400 ext. 20342 for an absentee ballot application.
    • Those on the permanent absentee ballot list do not need to apply for an absentee ballot.
    • Applications must be received no later than seven days prior to May 18, 2021.
    • Absentee ballots must arrive no later than 5 p.m. the day of the vote on May 18, 2021.
