Karen Whitelaw is in her second year on the Board of Education. Mrs. Whitelaw is a Kenmore West High School graduate and a former business owner who has lived in the Ken-Ton School District for most of her life. She has held numerous parent leadership positions at the school and district level including President of the Ken-Ton PTSA as well as the Kenmore East and Franklin Middle PTAs. She has been extremely active at the district level over the past 30 years and has attended Board of Education meetings for much of that time. She has served on numerous committees including the APPR Committee, Audit Committee, Family Support Center Committee, Naming Committee, Safety Committee, SAVE Committee, Staff Development Center Policy Board, Transportation Committee, Wellness Committee, and individual school and district hiring committees. She has also served as a Girl Scout Leader and currently serves on the Boys and Girls Club of the Northtowns Board of Directors. Mrs. Whitelaw has 3 daughters, all of whom are graduates of Kenmore East High School.
