Integrated Pest Management Notice

  • Integrated Pest Management (IPM) is a systematic approach to managing pests focusing on long-term prevention or suppression with minimal impact on human health, the environment and non-target organisms. Our strategies for managing pest populations, should they develop, will be based upon the pest species and whether that species poses a threat to our students, staff, property or the environment.

In the event that we have to apply a pesticide, and if you desire, we will place your name on a list of individuals who wish to receive 48-hour prior notification. Contact the Buildings and Grounds Office at 1494 Colvin Blvd., Buffalo, NY 14223 or 716-874-8400 to have your name placed on this list or for more information on the IPB program.

Additional information may be obtained by calling the National Pesticide Telecommunications Network information phone number (800) 858-7378 or the New York State Department of Health Center for Environmental Health information line at (800) 458-1158.
