District and school improvement planning is an essential component of the school and district improvement process. In the Ken-Ton School District, we continually reflect on the effectiveness of our initiatives and determine the most appropriate way to proceed based on our current circumstances.

Schools and districts are best positioned for continuous improvement when they work with stakeholders to collaboratively develop improvement plans that are rooted in their vision and informed by what they see and hear. Source:nysed.gov.  In the Ken-Ton School District, a shared decision-making team process is at the core of all school improvement efforts.  At both the district and school level, shared decision-making teams convene on a monthly basis to monitor and evaluate progress towards meeting the outlined goals and recommend appropriate adjustments to the plan, as needed, throughout the year.
