  • In compliance with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the Kenmore Town of Tonawanda Union Free School District (“the District”) does not discriminate on the basis of sex in the educational programs or activities it operates, including employment and admissions, and it is required by Title IX and its attendant regulations not to discriminate in such a manner. All forms of sex-based discrimination, including sexual harassment, are strictly prohibited by the District. Inquiries regarding Title IX may be referred to the Title IX Coordinator(s) or to the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights of the U.S. Department of Education, or both.

    Employees (and individuals who visit the District in the course of their own work) who believe they are experiencing sexual harassment may call a free and confidential toll-free hotline at 1-800-HARASS-3 (1-800-427-2773), Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., to make complaints and receive assistance regarding workplace sexual harassment.

    The Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda Union Free School District does not discriminate on the basis of an individual's actual or perceived race, color, creed, religion, religious practice, national origin, ethnic group, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation (the term "sexual orientation" means heterosexuality, homosexuality, bisexuality, or asexuality), political affiliation, age, marital status, military status, veteran status, disability, domestic violence victim status, arrest or conviction record, genetic information or any other basis prohibited by New York state and/or federal non-discrimination laws in its programs and activities and provides equal access to the Boy Scouts and other designated youth groups. In addition, students are also afforded protection based on weight.
