Pathways to Success & Pre-Collegiate Programs
-
Through a partnership with Erie Community College, the Ken-Ton School District Adult & Community Education Department offers the "Pathways to Success" and "Pre-Collegiate" programs for adult learners.
Pathways to SuccessThis partnership between the Ken-Ton School District Adult & Community Education and Erie Community College enables us to deliver high-quality instruction on a college campus to help you prepare for the TASC exam and improve your basic math and English skills. This program enables you to prepare for the TASC exam and receive your High School Equivalency while preparing for a pathway to enroll in Erie Community College credit-bearing classes.
Pre-Collegiate Program
The Pre-Collegiate Program offers developmental courses in math and English skills to prepare students for college-level courses. Sessions are offered in winter (January-February), fall (mid-September) and summer (June). Interested students may register for one or both of the classes below.
- Pre-Collegiate Reading/Writing (60 instructional hours): This course is the first non-credit level for adult learners seeking developmental English skills in reading and writing and provides learners with general study concepts
- Pre-Collegiate Developmental Mathematics (60 instructional hours): Developmental math is designed to assist adults with developmental math to give them the skills necessary to enter a college level class
