Dan Wiles
For decades, Dan Wiles has been a driving force behind youth programming and services that have benefited countless Ken-Ton School District students and families. He worked for approximately 40 years for the Town of Tonawanda Youth, Parks and Recreation Department including as its Director. After retiring, Dan served as executive director of the Ken-Ton Meals on Wheels. He served in this capacity for 8 years, significantly growing and improving the organization's operations. Thanks to these efforts, many people in our community, who otherwise would have gone hungry, were provided with nutritious meals each day right in their home. Many of our students have gained invaluable volunteer experience through Meals on Wheels as well. Dan also initiated an annual effort that distributed hundreds of Thanksgiving meals throughout the community each year, including the families of some of our own students. Additionally, Dan has been an active member of Ken-Ton Kiwanis, which is involved in numerous initiatives aimed at helping children and families including scholarships for Ken-Ton students. He has also been actively involved in Special Olympics. These are just some of the ways in which Dan has demonstrated his devotion to improving the lives of families and making the community a better place.
