Ken-Ton Kiwanis

Kiwanis

Kiwanis is an international volunteer-led organization that is dedicated to improving the world “one child and one community at a time." The Ken-Ton chapter, which is now in its 86th year, is a prime example of how this organization is living up to its mission. Ken-Ton Kiwanis is active throughout the year supporting numerous events and activities for children and families such as the Halloween Bash, Kentoberfest, National Night Out, Town of Tonawanda 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament, Holiday Gala, and Santa in the Village, just to name a few. Our local Kiwanis chapter finds countless other ways to improve the lives of children and families, from providing families with bike helmets and free eyeglasses to helping local youth sports programs. Another example of the important role Kiwanis plays in the community is supporting food drives and the annual Meals on Wheels community thanksgiving dinner. Kiwanis also coordinates scholarships and recognition for Ken-Ton students each year. This month, we recognize Ken-Ton Kiwanis for all that it does to help children and families in the Ken-Ton community.
