Students from technology programs at Kenmore East High School and Kenmore West High School recently participated in the 11th annual Western New York Construction Career Days field trip.

This event is organized by the Buffalo Building and Construction Trades Council to give high school students information about many different high-pay, high-demand construction careers.

During the field trip, students had the opportunity to operate equipment such as an excavator, crane, and skid steer, solder, weld, lay brick, climb scaffolding, and carry out other construction-related jobs. Students were able to talk to professionals about every activity there, speak with college representatives, and get information about job outlook and apprenticeship programs.
