On Friday, March 24, Holmes Elementary School celebrated "Purple Day" to raise awareness of epilepsy.

"Purple Day" is honored every year on March 26 all around the world. All Holmes Elementary staff and students showed their support in a sea of purple. Staff also raised money to be donated to the local epilepsy foundation.

Second-grade student Brianna Hayes presented to her class on what epilepsy is and how to be best prepared if anyone were to have a seizure. Students learned about seizure first aide protocol, and gained a better understanding of epilepsy and seizures.
