Matthew LaVigne, Kenmore Junior/Senior High Teacher

Matt has been the Advisor for the Big Picture Class of 2025 for the past five years. Matt has built a culture of care and support within his Advisory. He has created opportunities for the students in his Advisory to grow in multiple ways – from Community Building Circles to Advisory games and projects to Leaving to Learn outings such as the overnight trip to Allegany State Park. Matt is consistently working to find ways for students to actively engage in his Advisory, classes, and in the community. Matt has also been active in district committee work such as the DEI Committee and is now working as the Kenmore Junior/Senior High School webmaster. It is not uncommon to see Matt going above and beyond for his students, their families, his colleagues, and the community. Matt is an essential part of the success of our 401 class and his contributions to the Big Picture Program, the Ken-Ton District, and the WNY community are admirable. We are very pleased to be able to honor Matt this evening for his outstanding efforts and achievements.
