Peter Koudounas, Hoover Middle School Student

The son of Lindsay and Gregory Koudounas, seventh-grade student Peter is a person of great character. His teachers say that he exudes positivity in all situations and is a strong example of perseverance and hard work. Peter is involved in many aspects of Hoover, from team sports to Student Council, and is a member of our school enrichment program. One of our most memorable moments his sixth-grade teacher shared was the head-to-head basketball battle when Peter and another student took on Mr. Strauss and another student in a 2-on-2 game. When Peter lost, he immediately emailed the winners to congratulate them and started planning the rematch. In the classroom, Peter is a tremendous asset. He participates often, helps students in need, and takes the lead in group situations. Peter is truly the type of student every teacher depends on, the kind of kid that will be remembered years after he has left our halls.  He is truly a deserving recipient of this recognition!
