Susan Patterson, Edison Elementary School Teacher Aide

Susan is a dedicated aide that has been supporting the students at Edison for many years. She is willing to help in any way necessary. Last year, Susan shifted placements midway through the school year to support a long-term substitute in a tough classroom. She was a calming presence and ensured that the teacher and students were cared for each day. Susan is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to curriculum and instruction. She often works with struggling readers and helps close gaps using research-based strategies or programs. In addition to supporting teachers and students in the classroom, you'll find Susan in front of the building every morning, welcoming the buses and greeting the children as they begin their day. We are lucky to have her at Edison!
