What doesn't Sarah Rollo do? Sarah is an integral part of the Edison staff. She is always happy, friendly, and willing to lend a hand, even when the job may be rough and challenging. Aside from having an exceptional work ethic and being extremely devoted to her job, Sarah is reliable, dependable and irreplaceable. Sarah effortlessly fulfills all of her roles as a classroom aide. She also takes on more than what is in her job description. She is usually assigned to classrooms where the students have IEPs or significant behavior and/or health needs. Sarah takes her role extremely seriously. She knows her students' needs and services inside and out. She works tirelessly to follow and maintain behavior plans throughout the day, sometimes up to 4-5 students on a plan at a time. She does not shy away from working with the most difficult or challenging child. She is consistent, firm and fair but also loving and kind. The students know she loves them and they love her. She takes time to get to know her students' likes and interests to make special connections with them. Sarah has to work with many individuals throughout the day, including the classroom teacher, SPED teacher, special area teachers, service providers, social workers, counselors, 1:1 aides, administrators and parents. She communicates clearly and efficiently and never appears to be flustered, even when things get crazy! She always has a smile and an infectious positive attitude.
