Maria Distefano, Edison Elementary School Teacher

Maria Distefano goes above and beyond everyday in every way. A member of numerous building teams, she delights in working on the yearbook and school musical. A natural leader, Maria uses her roles as Literacy Liaison and coordinator of the Edison Enriching Academics to make a difference in Edison Achievement. Finally, and most importantly, Maria is a beloved teacher who wears her heart on her sleeve, putting patience, caring and compassion into every lesson.
