Ken West Theater Earns Five Nominations for Shea's Wonder Awards

Ken-Ton is excited to announce that the Kenmore West Musical, "Anything Goes", has received the following nominations in the Shea’s High School Musical Theater Wonder Awards:

  • Outstanding Lighting Design and Execution
  • Outstanding Student-Led Orchestral Performance
  • Outstanding Hair and Makeup Design and Execution
  • Outstanding Scenic Design and Execution
  • Outstanding Production of a Musical: **this nomination places them in the top 10, allowing students the opportunity to perform on Shea’s stage at the Wonder Award Ceremony

Additionally, Kenmore West students Abigail Holmes and Milo Dettbarn have been chosen as two of only 16 semi-finalists to partake in the highly competitive STAGE Program. The finalists from this program will perform solos at the award ceremony and two winners will be chosen to represent Western New York, at the Jimmy Awards in New York City. These awards are a national celebration of outstanding student achievement, recognizing individual artistry in vocal, dance, and acting performance and elevating the importance of theater arts education in schools. The Jimmy Awards are presented by The Broadway League Foundation.
