The annual Purple Pinky Project was another huge success!

 

On Monday, February 5th, students from the Kenmore East and Kenmore West Challenge/Interact Clubs visited Edison Elementary, Franklin Elementary, and Franklin Middle School for their annual Purple Pinky Project. The project is a way to assist the Rotary Club of Kenmore in the nation's fight to eradicate polio.

 

A total of $4,500 was collected through this year's project, which means for every child that donated $1, he or she saved six children from getting Polio Disease. The grand total came from Edison and Franklin students, the Rotary Club of Kenmore, and the Gates Foundation.

 

"Rotary International is very thankful for our fundraising efforts," said Ken-Ton Instructional Specialist Lisa Davidson. "None of this would have been possible without support for the Challenge/Interact Club. This club saves lives. Thank you to all who made it possible."
