Hoover Middle school health teacher, Julie Hodge, has been named the NYS AHPERD (New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance) Western Zone’s Health Teacher of the Year!

Awards are given annually to recognize excellence among the many dedicated professionals across New York State and in the Western New York area.

NYS AHPERD is a diverse and robust organization that continually works to enhance knowledge and skills, ensuring students have the highest quality health and physical education programs possible. The Western Zone is made up of members living and/or working in Niagara, Erie, Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties.
