NYS PTA Offering Free Summer Reading Program

If you have a book lover at home, a new summer reading program may be for you!

This summer, a new literacy initiative called NYS PTA Reads is offering at-home personalized libraries for free to students of all ages. The libraries will include online access to books specific to your child’s reading level.

The free summer program is called “NYS PTA Reads Summer Reading Slam” and is available to everyone. Thanks to a partnership with LightSail, the program will allow kids to read books online, compete in a summer reading competition, and earn prizes.

The program begins Monday, July 25th and those interested can now sign up for their free 60-day trial, which lasts until the end of summer. When the free trial ends, users will still have access to the Lite version of the reading platform while full access is available with different subscription options.

Visit the NYS PTA Reads website to sign up.
