Inspired by KW Freestyle, FMS Opens 'Carley's Closet'

Carley's Closet

Following in the spirit of the Ken-Ton Closet and Kenmore West High School’s “Freestyle” store, Franklin Middle School recently opened a new caring closet named after teacher Mrs. Carley Panepinto who has taken the lead on organizing the closet and styling Franklin students.

Carley's Closet

Thanks to donations from faculty and the community, Franklin students now have a fun, comfortable place to shop for free clothing, shoes, and accessories. Since opening in September 2019, dozens of students have discovered fashionable finds, and Carley’s Closet continues to welcome donations for middle school fashions!

Since 2013, the Ken-Ton Closet, which now operates at the former Jefferson Elementary building, has been providing families in need with a place to shop for free children’s clothing and other everyday necessities. The Closet inspired teachers at Kenmore West to create their own free thrift store, “Freestyle,” which in turn inspired Carley’s Closet!
