Franklin Elementary Students Receive Free School Shirts
Friday, Jan. 3 was a very special day at Franklin Elementary School. Thanks to the Ken-Ton Closet and Nickel City Shirt Co., all students received a free school shirt prior to an all-school assembly celebrating the unity in its diverse school community.
The logo on the shirt incorporates both the spirit of the Bulldogs and the Benjamin Franklin lightning bolt, and it was created by Kenmore East High School student (and Franklin Elementary alum) Grace Eleey.
The assembly focused on character education and respect, teaching students to respect. Students played a fun question-and-answer game that had them choosing between two different options, and in this way, they learned how each of us is different and to always to respect the differences in one another.
