Play by KW Senior to Be Performed at NYS Theater Conference
A play written by Kenmore West High School senior Mark Bogacki, a student in the Kenmore West International Baccalaurate (IB) and theater programs, was chosen to be one of only four performed at the preeminent statewide theater education conference.
Mark submitted an original short play, which he had developed for the Kenmore West 24 Hour Play Project, to the New York State Theater Education Association (NYSTEA) playwriting contest. Mark’s was one of only four chosen to be performed at this year’s NYSTEA Conference, where it will open for an audience of 800 theater professionals, educators, and students.
It is a tremendous honor for Mark, for his school, for the Kenmore West High School theater program, and the Kenmore West IB Program. Mark’s first experience with theater was the IB Theater class.
