Students Explore Cultures Represented in Lindbergh Community
This year, Lindbergh Elementary students have been exploring and embracing the many cultures in the Lindbergh community.
Recently, in English as a New Language instruction, second- and third-grade students created a short video telling about how their family celebrates Ramadan and Eid and what they learned about the holiday.
Students then shared with other classes information on traditions such as the month of fasting, helping the poor, special foods, and family celebrations with other classes.
As Mrs. Brown read the story, "Lailah's Lunchbox A Ramadan Story," students made personal connections to holidays they celebrate with their own families. Students then participated in a fun activity drawing beautiful henna designs on paper hands.
