When will I receive Universal Pre-K information?
The Universal Pre-K Program in the Ken-Ton School District is operated by the Ken-Ton YMCA, which will be sharing information with parents/guardians about teacher placement and supply lists. UPK will follow the district's hybrid phase-in plan. UPK classes will operate remotely for the first five weeks of school. A hybrid schedule will be phased in for UPK beginning Oct. 13. How do I find my child's Student ID Number, and what do I need it for?
You will need your child’s 9-digit student ID number to sign up for MySchoolBucks (breakfast/lunch pre-payment) and My Stop (school bus tracking). You can find the student ID number on any of your child’s past report cards. If you have a Parent Portal account, you can view past report cards there. If you have trouble finding your student ID number, you can also contact your child’s school.
How do I sign up for My Stop Bus Tracking?
Parents/guardians may sign up for My Stop, which will allow them to securely view the location of their child’s school bus in real time and the estimated time of arrival at the bus stop. The tool is available both as a mobile and web-based app using GPS devices installed on all Ken-Ton School District buses. Visit the My Stop page at www.ktufsd.org/mystop for more information. You will need your child's 9-digit student ID number to sign up for My Stop. You can find the student ID number on any of your child’s past report cards. If you have a Parent Portal account, you can view past report cards there. If you have trouble finding your student ID number, you can also contact your child’s school.
How do I sign up for free/reduced-price breakfast and lunch?
Please Note: Students at Franklin Elementary, Holmes Elementary, Hoover Elementary, Franklin Middle, and Hoover Middle need not apply for free and reduced-price breakfast/lunch; see below for more information.*

*Important Message for Students at Franklin Elementary/Middle, Holmes Elementary, and Hoover Elementary/Middle: Students at these five schools are able to enjoy a free breakfast and lunch this year through a program called the Community Eligibility Provision. Families at these three schools do not need to fill out a Free & Reduced-Price Meal Application in order to receive meals.
How do I pre-pay for breakfast and lunch, and where can I find menus and nutrition information?
For breakfast and lunch menus, nutrition information, pre-payment options (MySchoolBucks), and more, visit the Food Service website at www.ktufsd.org/nutrition. When will I receive bus pick-up/drop-off information?
If your child is eligible for busing, bus letters with information regarding your child's school bus number and pick-up/drop-off time will be mailed home. If you would like to be able to securely view the location of your child’s school bus in real time and the estimated time of arrival at the bus stop, please sign up for My Stop (more information on the My Stop page at www.ktufsd.org/mystop).
What are the mileage eligibily limits?
The following students are eligible for bus transportation: Elementary school students (Grades K-4) who live 0.5 miles or more from school, middle school students (Grades 5-7) who live 0.75 miles or more from school, and high school students (Grades 8-12) who live 1.0 miles or more from school.
When will the 2020-21 calendar be available?

What are the 2020-21 start/end times and early release times?
School start and end times will remain unchanged for the 2020-21 school year for in-person attendance. Please note, however, that arrival/dismissal times and procedures may change due to COVID-19 safety precautions and reopening considerations. Schools and teachers will communicate schedules during remote learning.
How can I find out about arrival/dismissal procedures, schedules, etc.?
Schools will send parents/guardians information regarding schedules, arrival/dismissal times and procedures, etc.
How can I sign up for voice, email and text notifications?
Parents and guardians can receive notifications such as school cancellations and informational alerts via ShoutPoint through the Infinite Campus student management system which is also linked to families’ Parent Portal accounts. Parents who have a Parent Portal account can click here for information about updating their contact preferences in Parent Portal. Parents who do not have a Parent Portal account can email icportal@ktufsd.org to update their student/family contact preferences or to be sure that your most up-to-date information is on file. How can I create a Parent Portal Account?
Parents/guardians who do not yet have a Parent Portal account will receive information in the fall on how to create an account. Please visit the Parent Portal Page at www.ktufsd.org/parentportal for information and resources regarding Parent Portal.
How can I register my child for school?
If you are a resident of the Ken-Ton School District and wish to register your child(ren) for Universal Pre-Kindergaren or Kindergarten for the 2020-21 school year, or if you have moved into the district or within the district and need to enroll your child(ren) in Ken-Ton Schools, please contact the Central Registration Office at 874-8400 in order to schedule an appointment as soon as possible. Please visit www.ktufsd.org/registration for information regarding the registration process. Please note that proof of residency will be required if you have moved into the district, and new proof of residency will be required if you have moved to another location within the district.
Will crossing guard locations change?
No changes to crossing guard locations have been announced at this time.
