Edison and Franklin Giving Back Through Links 4 Love

Edison and Franklin Elementary Schools are giving back to the local community by participating in a popular campaign called "Links 4 Love".

Links 4 Love, which is a fundraiser for the annual Jerry Starr Ken-Ton Schools SleepOut, has been going on for years and originated at Edison nearly 10 years ago. This is Franklin Elementary's first year doing the campaign after hearing and seeing its success thanks to the generosity of Edison students and families.

Here's how it works: strips of different colored paper (assigned to a grade level) are being sold in the school lobbies every morning this week. Strips are $.25 each and after purchasing their strip(s) of paper, the student writes their name on them. At the end of the week, each classroom will connect their students' links, and will then be connected with other classes to make one long and giant chain that goes throughout the hallways of the schools!

In years past, Edison has collected more than $4,000 through Links 4 Love. This year's Jerry Starr Ken-Ton Schools SleepOut will be held on Friday, February 2nd.
