• IMPORTANT NOTICE
    On June 29, 2016, BlackBoard, owners of the school district website provider SchoolWires/Web Community Manager, announced that website E-Alerts will no longer be supported via text message as a result of actions taken by the Federal Communication Commission. For now, the Ken-Ton School District will still send out website E-Alerts via email in the event of school closings, but text message notification via the website E-Alerts system will no longer be possible. This does not affect parents/guardians who receive automated text message and/or voice message alerts via the Parent Portal/Infinite Campus ShoutPoint system. This only affects those who do not have children in the Ken-Ton School District, thus ineligible to receive ShoutPoint notifications, and previously signed up to receive text message alerts through the separate website E-Alert notification system.
     
     
    What are E-Alerts?
    E-Alerts are messages sent to you by staff at the Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda Union Free School District. You can sign up for E-Alerts if you do not receive notifications through the district's Parent Portal/Infinite Campus ShoutPoint messenger system but would like to be notified in the event of school closings and other important district communications. There is now only one way to receive E-Alerts: email.
     
     
    Note: At the present time, Ken-Ton schools only use Broadcast E-Alerts and do not use Content E-Alerts, which are used to alert subscribers to website content updates. 
     
    If I receive ShoutPoint notifications, do I have to sign up for E-Alerts to receive these communications?
    If you are a parent or guardian of a student in Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda schools, you already receive notifications through the Infinite Campus ShoutPoint system, which is tied to your Parent Portal account, so you do not need to sign up for E-Alerts.
