The W.E.B. Student Leadership Program is a middle school program that trains selected 7th grade students to welcome 5th grade students to Franklin Middle School. W.E.B. stands for "Where Everybody Belongs" and the program derives from a national educational program called the Boomerang Project. It is a year-round program that intends to make 5th graders feel welcome throughout the first year of their middle school experience. Built on the belief that students can help students succeed, the program trains mentors from the 7th grade class to be WEB Leaders. The WEB Leaders meet with and connect with the 5th graders through school events, team-building activities, games, email-pals, and chat circles. W.E.B. promotes a positive school culture and it was started at Franklin Middle in 2017-2018.
