All About Mrs.Waggoner
My name is Laura Waggoner and I have been teaching at Lindbergh Elementary since 1995. I grew up in the Ken-Ton area and am a graduate of the Ken-Ton Schools. I attended Penn State University and graduated from the University at Buffalo and Canisius College with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Psychology and Education. I began my teaching career at Lindbergh teaching first grade and went on to teach Kindergarten for two years. After I returned from a two year child care leave, I settled into first grade in Room 106. Eventually, both of my sons attended Lindbergh!
My husband and I are proud residents of the Ken-Ton area and have two sons, a sophomore at Kent State University and a graduate of SUNY Fredonia. Our younger son, Evan, is a musical theatre major and is looking forward to a career in the performing arts. Our older son graduated from college and is looking for a job in his major and looking into graduate school. We spend much of our free time supporting our sons in whatever they're involved in. My husband is a volunteer firefighter with Kenmore Volunteer Fire Department and you may see him around the village working to keep our community safe.
This summer, I spent some time working on some home improvements. I also spent a lot of time reading...something I don't often get a chance to do during the busy school year! I just love curling up with a good book and exchanging books I love with my friends and family.I look forward to meeting your family at the virtual open house on September 23rd and I especially look forward to a great year with your child!Fun Facts: I love chocolate! Yum!I am an only child.I love eating at fancy restaurants. Some of my favorite bands and musicians are U2, Peter Gabriel, Sarah McLachlan, and Sting.
