Franklin Middle Students to Showcase Talents at KE Craft Show
The Kenmore East Craft Fair returns for another year and, once again, young artists are showcasing their talents! Franklin Middle students Hidy Gleason and Alexia Green will be two of three students that will have their own booth at the annual Craft Fair.
Hidy, a 6th grader, will be selling perler bead bowls. She's been crafting for a few years and recently started her own business called "The Melting Bowl". She also makes Pokémon figures with magnets on the back so they can be hung on fridges, lockers, and more. Hidy was also chosen to participate in the Young Entrepreneur Fair last summer.
Alexia, a 7th grader, is taking part in the Craft Fair for the 2nd straight year and will be selling her custom handmade jewelry. Alexia runs "Lexi Lou’s Creations and has been featured at several craft fairs. However, she especially loves to set up her own stand in front of her house and sell items there! She has been designing and making her own jewelry for over three years.
Norah Mergl, an out-of-district student, will also be showcased alongside her crocheted plush items.
The Craft Fair, which will have over 100 tables and vendors, takes place on Saturday, October 19th, at Kenmore East High School. You can find out more information by reading the event poster below.
