'Here We Are' Exhibit Features Work by Art Teachers, Students

On Sunday, Jan. 13, Buffalo's Artspace Gallery celebrated the opening of the "Here We Are" exhibit which featured photography by two Ken-Ton School District art teachers as well as Kenmore East High School students.

The upper gallery featured artwork by 12 talented Western New York artists including two who teach at Ken-Ton Schools: Denise Carr, Kenmore East High School art teacher and district art coordinator, and Gustavo Glorioso, Franklin Middle School art teacher.

The exhibit also featured work by photography students at Kenmore East High School in the lower gallery, including Sarah Al Sammarraie, Aya Altekreeti, Brianna Cedrone, Grace Czyz, Haley Fabian, Lehla Fisher, Olivia Frys, Isabella Horn, Anna Nesci, Megan Pompeo, Emilie Puzzella, Hailie Puzzella, Micah Schwartz, Robert Snekser, Emma Stasio, Emily Terranova, Hevyn Bermudez, Isabella Colby, Isabelle Domroes, Lyllian Ettinger, Emma Ferguson, Shaquille Hescott, Shahad Ibrahim, Savannah Kasselman, Jordan Popovich, and Jessica Sciria.

Many students and their families attended the opening to celebrate and enjoy the students’ work, as well as the work by the 12 artists featured for the “Here We Are” exhibit.
