Holiday Happenings at Franklin Elementary School

Franklin Elementary student writes on graffiti wall

In November, Franklin Elementary students showed what they were thankful for with a “Grateful” chain and graffiti wall. Each student wrote one thing they were thankful for on a chain, then were able to write and draw on a school-wide graffiti wall.

As part of the school-wide PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention & Support) program at Franklin Elementary, Hannah Dean's fourth-grade class earned enough tickets to win a "community prize." Students were able to choose their reward. Their choice: the opportunity to read like campers! They had a blast reading under their desks with flashlights while listening to the sounds of nature.

Students in Samantha Rajski's class at Franklin Elementary School had a great time making gingerbread houses for the holiday season. They have been working on shapes in math and in their writing, and they focused on identifying shapes while building the houses.
