Larissa Gramza, fourth-grade teacher at Franklin Elementary, created an after-school dance club for boys and girls in third and fourth grade.

Students attended five after-school sessions in which they learned about stretching and flexibility, conditioning techniques, and engaged in guided dances centered around a positive attitude.

The students performed at a school assembly in November and spent their last session showing off all their moves to their teachers and family members.

Students greatly enjoyed the experience and are leaving the club with new friendships they’ve made within their dance community. They also have improved confidence with their dance abilities and know all about a variety of healthy activities to engage in during their free time!
