Colleges will request a copy of your schedule and/or most current report cardGPA and rank available in OctoberRegister for SAT and/or ACT if you're planning on attending a four-year college and you haven't taken either test yet. See the SAT & ACT information page for details.Use Naviance/Family Connection to explore college majors, careers, and college choices. Sign up to attend in the Career CenterCreate an account on the Common Application, SUNY, or individual college website. Once you submit your applications through any of these websites, please let your counselor know immediately so your transcripts and other school records can be sent to the colleges.
If you are interested in participating in athletics during college, you must register with NCAA (//www.ncaaclearinghouse.net/NCAA/common/index.html)Ask 1-3 people to write a recommendation letter for college applications or scholarships and send them an electronic request via Naviance. Complete your resume on Naviance - teachers will have access to view this & write you a more thorough recommendation letter. Begin working on college application essay.
Submit your applications at least two weeks before the college application deadline and notify your counselor immediately after you have submitted an application online. This will ensure your application and transcript is received in a timely manner
