Shadow Program at Kenmore West
SPEND A DAY AT KENMORE WEST!!
Rising students in grade 7 or students considering transferring to Kenmore West can spend a full day with a student at Kenmore West to experience our campus as a student. Shadow days begin in November and are available through the end of March as space permits. Students who visit Kenmore West must be in good standing at their current school in the areas of academics, attendance and behavior. To register please click on this link to fill out a questionnaire.
WHAT TO WEAR
Your child can wear something that is comfortable and aligns with the school district dress code. Students can bring a book or something to work on in case their Shadow Guide has physical education or is taking a test during their visit. Face masks must be worn at all times while in the building.
LUNCH
Lunch will be in the cafeteria. Shadow students will be given a complimentary lunch on the day of their visit or they can bring their own lunch.
YOUR SHADOW GUIDE
A Kenmore West school counselor or representative will pair you with one of our registered guides whose interests match your own. We will try to honor requests if possible.
TRANSPORTATION / START AND END TIMES
Visiting students will be responsible for their own transportation to and from Kenmore West on the day of their visit. You will meet your Shadow Guide in the Kenmore West Counseling Center (Room 150, at Door 1) at 7:30am and will be returned to the counseling center at day's end. Classes start at 7:40am and our day ends at 2:22pm. For further information please contact the Kenmore West Counseling Office at 874-8401 to speak with Mrs. Kroll.
