    Take the P.S.A.T. in October of Junior year
    (Kenmore West now offers the PSAT to all juniors
    during the school day, free of charge)
     
     
     
    Register for SAT and/or ACT tests in spring of Junior year.

    If you are a special education student planning to take either
    of these tests, you MUST see your IEP teacher and counselor before you register

    Use Naviance/Family Connection to explore careers, college majors
    and college choices.  If you're not registered on this website yet, see your counselor.
     
     
     
    Gather information from the Career Center and websites
    on colleges of your interest
     
     
    Attend college fairs and visit colleges of your interest
    this spring, summer, and fall
     
     
    Meet with college representatives in Career Ctr this spring and fall
     
     
    Think about what is important to you in a college:
    admission requirements, location, cost, size, academic programs, campus life, class size, safety, career placement, internships, studying abroad, financial aid & scholarship possibilities
     
     
    Look into interesting & challenging summer opportunities that will help boost your college application and/or resume (internship & volunteer options, employment possibilities, extracurricular clubs & activities)
