Lindbergh's Kelly Strong Accepts Check from 26 Shirts

On Monday, March 4th, Lindbergh Elementary held a special PBIS assembly they called, "The Lindbergh Strong Game Show Assembly". The assembly featured fun activities and games, with the sole purpose of honoring Lindbergh physical education teacher Kelly Strong, who was diagnosed with advanced mantle cell lymphoma and is currently halfway through her 5-month chemotherapy regimen on her journey towards recovery.
From January 23rd through February 11th, 26 Shirts released and sold a special t-shirt to honor Kelly and raise money for her medical expenses. For school on Monday, several staff members and students wore the t-shirt while others wore red, white and blue to honor Kelly and her fight.

The end of the assembly featured a special surprise as 26 Shirts Founder Del Reid presented a check for $5,384 to Ms. Strong herself, who made the trip to Lindbergh to say hello and update her colleagues and students on how she's doing.
It was SO GOOD to see you Ms. Strong and we're so excited to welcome you back in the fall!
