Lindbergh Music Teacher On Tour with BPO For International Tour
Lindbergh Elementary School music teacher Miranda DelBello at the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra Concert Hall in Katowice, Poland.
A Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda School District music teacher is currently performing with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra during its ground-breaking international tour.
Lindbergh Elementary School music teacher Miranda DelBello is currently in Poland with the BPO as its piccolo player after being invited to join the orchestra for the tour by BPO Music Director JoAnn Falletta.
This is the BPO's first international tour in three decades. It is a rare achievement to perform with a professional orchestra, let alone for such a significant tour as the BPO is currently undertaking.
The musicians departed for Poland the week of March 12 after performing the program in Buffalo. The orchestra is performing four concerts in Poland, including an appearance at the prestigious Beethoven Easter Festival in Warsaw.
DelBello, who teaches instrumental music at Lindbergh Elementary, performs with the Southern Tier Symphony and often with the BPO as a substitute. She is excited to share her musical and cultural experiences from the tour with her students and colleagues upon her return.
