Kenmore West football coach and teacher John Haynes has earned quite the recognition! Haynes has been named the Buffalo Regional Coach of the Week by the Buffalo Bills and Legends Global Merchandising. The award honors an area coach's efforts on and off the football field.
Haynes has been a coach with the Kenmore West Blue Devils for 29 seasons, and is in his 9th season as head coach of the program. He has the Blue Devils off to a 4-2 start to the season which includes a current three-game win streak. Their most recent win over Starpoint earned them a playoff spot in the Section VI Class A bracket.
Haynes is also a part of the Kenmore West baseball program, which he's served as head coach of since 2012, and the Kenmore West unified bowling team, which won a Section VI championship last season.
