Great job to the students and staff at Edison Elementary School who collected more than $3,300 through the Pennies for Patients Drive to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society!

The drive started with a kick-off assembly and students and faculty learned about the disease and how they could help their community find a cure for those less fortunate.

Susan Rusinski, a second-grade special education teacher, has been running the drive for the past three years. The class that collects the most money wins an Olive Garden luncheon, and this year, it was teacher is Cynthia Brodfuehrer’s kindergarten class with $418.10.

The student’s raised a total of $3,340.92 which is an impressive amount! Mrs. Rusinski thanks all of the amazing families and staff that contributed.
