Kenmore East student Laxmi Subedi is being honored for her artistic talent!

The New York State Association for Bilingual Education (NYSABE) recently named Laxmi as the 3rd place winner in the Dr. Nivia Zavala Special Art Contest for Multilingual Learners/ELLs. Her submission, titled "Regarding Our Differences, We Are All Equal" was among the top submissions for entrants in Grades 6-8.

As the 3rd place finisher, Laxmi will receive a medal and $50 in cash at a special student award luncheon on March 1st in Saratoga Springs, NY.
