Kenmore East Students Treated to Early Dyngus Day Celebration

Band students perform polka at Kenmore East

On Thursday, April 18, the last day before spring recess, Kenmore East High School students were treated to polka music during arrival and dismissal as part of an early Dyngus Day celebration led by music teacher Michael Ihde.

The Polish-American holiday, celebrated extensively throughout Buffalo and Western New York, will take place on Monday, April 22 during spring recess. On that day, Ihde and fellow members of the polka band "Those Idiots," Buffalo's leading polka band, will be performing as part of Buffalo's official Dyngus Day celebration.
